this is david, one of the guys that we play frisbee with on sundays.
i don't have a real flash, just the one that pops up out of my camera, so i haven't done that much flash photography up to this point. so far, long exposure flash photography is definitely what most appeals to me, visually. you get some nice background in the shot, and i like the contrast of the blur that the 1/5 of a second of shutter sees, vs the instant pop that the flash sees.
i'm a little biased, but i think this shot is my favorite example of what i'm talking about.
