    here is the kid's table at this evening's bbq. paige and i are in a funny middle ground with our expat acquaintances. there are the 25 and unders just out of college or grad school who are finding themselves in their 6-18 months here and there are the 35 and overs who have kids and tend to be lifer foreign aid workers. so far we are none of those things. tonight's hosts, though, are 38 going on 30, so we match up pretty well.

    good light here from an incandescent lamp above my head, the floor lamp you can see and a big north-facing window to our right letting in the evening light.

    i've been playing with color lately in processing the images, trying to get what i think of the colors of slide film.
