here's a good example of how canon's sensor deals with certain colors of red. the short answer is it can't deal with them. if i had shot this in jpg, all the red in this image would be this intense uniform red haze. as it is after processing the RAW, you can find some detail in there but it's still funny.
at full pixel size, this picture is pretty cool. i'm going to make it a desktop background.
