topi - queen elizabeth national park, ishasha

    topi are some of my favorite animals in ishasha. there are huge herds of them. all the animals in ishasha turn to look at you when you drive up. topi, ugandan kob, and water buffalo. unlike the zebras in tanzania who immediately turn their butts.

    i liked the set-up of these two, symmetrical with the bush between them. i can't remember if i've mentioned this in previous wildlife photos, but you can get much closer to animals and birds when you are in a car than when you are on foot. even just a hand out the window can make them run away. but they do not fear cars.
