pulled over on the drive between mbarara and kabale to admire the view across the valley. southwest uganda is beautiful. it's worth looking at the larger version to see the terraced landscape in the background.
i had already gotten a standard portrait of them with a longer lens but decided to get the wide-angle out because the sky and landscape was so cool.
i think this picture works because of interesting things in the foreground, background, top, bottom, left, right. the eye doesn't get stuck anywhere and each part of the image belongs.
