bushara island was amazing for birds. not only that they were plentiful and the viewing areas were excellent, but that there were many that we don't have in kampala or anywhere at the lower altitudes for that matter.this picture is part luck, part preparation. there were some clearings that took perfect advantage of the morning light. exposed areas in the sun with backgrounds that were still in the shade.so i wanted a bird to land exactly here, but it took awhile for it to happen. then i moved too close too quickly and scared it away before i got a decent picture. so i had to sit there for a while with my lens up waiting hopefully for it to come back and get a photo. it did and i did.
