our garden has enough flowers and they're such an easy (effort-less? lazy? fall-back?) subject to shoot that i can see i'm going to need a flower label on the blog. we get a couple hours of great afternoon/evening light every day, though, so it's hard to resist the colors and lights and darks. lots of opportunities for a sun-lit subject separated from a shaded background.
the light/dark of this image isn't that compelling to me, but i do like the separation of the leaf from the background in terms of sharp/blurry. the plane of focus closely follows the curvy leaf, which seems improbable.
i give notes and commentary on all of my photos in the comments section. click thegreenpost title to show that photo with my comments below. please add your own comments or critiques and thanks for checking in! -phil
