this was a great spot for a telephoto lens - to compress the whole street and just show this mass of signage. it was near the end of a long day and we still had to walk to the train station so i wasn't patient enough to wait for a better foreground than this. more scooters and tuk-tuks and fewer run of the mill sedans would have been better.
you'd think that to get a good image of chinatown you would need a wide-angle lens to get it all in, but oddly enough sometimes a telephoto give a better feeling for landscape.
