there was just an article in the new york times that mangosteen importation will be allowed to the US starting july 23. i highly recommend for novelty factor and taste. not as cool as the rambutan before you open it; much cooler that the rambutan after you open it.
what's to say about this picture? i like taking food still-lifes. i used my 50mm because i wanted the background blurred with the highlights coming through the trees. i added the leatherman intentionally to give it some context.
is it dorky to write online about how i put a knife next to an obscure fruit and took a picture of it with a specific lens?
