we've been without the services of a gardener since the end of january. and, wow, it doesn't take long in this fertile country to be completely overwhelmed by growth.
tom came over to consult on what needed to be done and left me his clippers, a lopper, and a saw. in a week of clipping, lopping, and sawing, i had managed to prune enough to fill a lorry. and the yard still looks like a jungle.
we now have a twice a week gardener and i'm going to get some clippers of my own delivered from the states, so hopefully we'll be able to keep on top of it from here on out.
oh. about the photo. i dunno, it's a picture of the lorry getting filled with clippings. note the guy coming up the stairs on the right with an arm-full.
