    we had dinner over at hilary and sarah's place last night. i brought my camera and flash thinking i would get a group shot around the table because i liked the red room. but as it turned out, the single light was way better than anything i could do with the flash.

    so the simple yet dramatic pre-dinner scene won out over any image with people in it.

    the walls lent quite a red cast to the light of any bounced flash, too. i liked the color of the CFL bulb bounced off the white plates better.
