  1. stuck in traffic today, i had a chance to take photos of the bodabodas driving by. these are the standard taxi in kampala. that is, you pay them to take you exactly where you want to go. depending on distance you'll pay $1-2. there are also 14-person minivans called matatus that ply specific routes and have (more or less) specific stops around the entire city and run throughout the country.

    i want to start a site specifically for bodaboda pictures. and more specifically, the crazy cargo they sometimes carry. my personal best is a bathtub complete with fixtures.

    i kept this one full frame because the blur and vignetting towards the corners just looked so nice. i lost much of that when it was cropped square in the middle. getting the timing right was a little tricky. 1/2000 of a second shutter.
