i'm usually the type to fill my frame with stuff. which isn't to say that i make busy photos, just that i tend to orient towards the Subject and put that in the picture, maybe along with its surroundings. not that that's a good thing.
so this isn't the sort of photo i make very much. it's good to break rules though. speaking of rules, it's often the case that wide-angle lenses get used in landscape phototography. this is with a 135mm.
i think i had recently been looking at some photos by a guy that does a lot of landscape photography in fog so it was on my mind. less is more.
