you don't have to set up strobes, c-stands and pocket wizards to get some good off-camera light photos.
ReplyDeletebirthday dinner at paige's brother's house out on the back porch. plenty of candles and coils to keep the mosquitos at bay. as boys do, kyle was playing with the fire and the light was great on his face.
i told paige to do the same so i could get a birthday portrait, and this one won.
the upper right is a yard/street light at the neighbor's place, and in retrospect it would have been cool to try to place that behind paige's head and see if i could outline her hair. didn't see it at the time, hopefully remember to look for stuff like that in the future.
