i just got my pocketwizards. this was my first real attempt at some off-camera light.
ReplyDeletemost of the soft light is provided by the open garage door at camera right. i hung a flash from the ceiling to add some rim lighting to his head.
at the time, newspapers seemed like an interesting idea for a backdrop. now i'm not so sure.
Funny you should mention the newspapers: before I pulled up the Comments section, I thought, "That's cool - the newspapers in the background. Hope he tells us what they are / why they're there!"
ReplyDeleteI like, too, how you get the warm brown skin tones from the light on the right plus the blue on top of his head from the overhead (white?) light.
